I'll be completely honest with you… Texas State was not my first choice of colleges I wanted to attend, heck, it was the last. I've lived in San Marcos my whole life so going to Texas State, if any college was the norm. I wanted more for myself, and to truly live the college experiences you hear so much about. After my first year I just knew I wasn't getting everything out of college. I decided to join Diamond Sweethearts in the spring of my sophomore year. I wasn't 100% sure if this was something I would like, or people I would fit in with. It didn't take long for me to realize this was my home, and to feel that sense of belonging and happiness that so many other Dsweets feel too. But me, I owe that feeling to my amazing best friends and the experiences Diamond Sweethearts has brought to my life. So.. I'm turning this into a thank you note to my future bridesmaids, and the organization we have to thank for it.

You have shown me what it means to be a bobcat and proud of it!!! Because of this organization I have never felt such a strong sense of belonging, this organization was not only a chance to support the best teams ever, but create memories with such an amazing group of unique women. When I joined , someone said ‘you're going to get out, what you put into this organization.’ That was 1000% true. I decided to put in my willingness to meet new people and create new experiences for myself, and that is exactly what I got. The best thing Diamond Sweethearts gave me was all my countless memories of games, eating out with sweeties, date parties, and crazy nights out. So for that I thank you Dsweets.

You know exactly who you are. Let me start off by saying you've completely changed my life. All of you have taught me the meaning of true friendship, as corny as it sounds. We accept each other in every share and form and never fail to show up for each other. School, family, boys, and all the rest, I know I have my sisters behind me. We've been through some rough times but i know yall are my bestest friends because almost all are the best time. Whether it be facetimes with Jess, chuy's with Bella, dancing with paulina, or texting the group, i'm so grateful to have you all in my life every second. You've all given so much to me but most importantly, you've given me the true experience of college. Thinking about all the crazy nights we've had together makes me cry while I write this because I know I'll never get to do it with y'all again. As much as I want to hit rewind and do it all over with you all, I know I can't and it completely breaks my heart. But, I know we have so many amazing memories to come because we are all for life. I love you forever.
