Who is eligible for membership?

Any undergrad student at Texas State University, who meets the GPA requirement, is qualified for membership.

Is there a minimum grade point average (GPA) requirement?

Yes. Each applicant must have and maintain a Texas State University GPA of at least 2.25.

How do I become a Diamond Sweetheart?

Each applicant must fill out an application electronically and email the Diamond Sweetheart President along with the $30.00 application fee and any additional required materials. Within the following week, an email will be sent out to each candidate to sign up and attend the required in person interview with the Executive Officers.

If I don’t get chosen to be a Diamond Sweetheart or I’m in the organization and decide to drop, will I get refunded my dues and application fee?

No, you will not be refunded either of those payments.

What is an interest meeting?

Hosted by the Executive Officers, interest meetings are where prospective applicants have the opportunity to learn all about our organization and the application process. Toward the end of the meeting, each applicant will have the opportunity to schedule an interview time with an Executive Officer.

What do I wear to my interview?

Business casual/cute attire (Sunday's best) that you feel confident in!

What should be included in my application packet?

Each applicant must include their completed application, a copy of their school schedule (please write how many hours you are taking) and a $30.00 application fee in their application packet.

What should one expect during the interview?

Each interview held will be led by all the Executive Officers. Each interview lasts approximately 10 minutes and the applicant will be asked various questions that are designed for the girls to get to know the applicant a little better.
